The Divex burning rig assembly comprises 50mm earth and power cables fitted with connection lugs and screw-on earth clamp. 50mm cable is used on 50m, 60m and 100m rigs. Due to power loss, the cable size is increased to 70mm2 on the 120m, 150m and 200m rigs. ( Contact us for quote on 120 - 200 m)

The 3/8" oxygen hose is specially selected for flexibility and oxygen compatibility, fitted with 9/16" UNF female swivel bullnose fittings at surface and cutting torch ends. An 8mm polypropylene rope is included as a strain and lifting line. The assembly is duct-taped every 1/2 metre.

Quality Assurance

Before leaving the Divex workshop, the cutting umbilical is tested for electrical continuity and the hose is hydrostatically tested to 30 Bar to verify integrity. Finally the hose is flushed with cleaning solution and blown dry.

NOTE: The oxygen hose has a maximum working pressure of 20 Bar. This therefore restricts the working depth of the longer burning rigs (150m and 200m) to 120m. We have calculated this by allowing 90 psi / 6 Bar for the cutting rod pressure, 12 Bar for the depth (at 140m) and 2 Bar for frictional and other hose loss. Total 18 Bar.
